Green tea is being touted as one of the healthiest drinks across the world and is fast catching up the attention of today's youth. Realizing that there was a need for all natural green tea in the market, we started Kadambri Teas. At Kadambri our mission is to deliver highest quality green teas from the best tea estates in India directly to the consumer. You can browse our collection of Green Teas here.
Making a cup of Green Tea is very simple. Just follow a few simple rules and experiment to make a cup of tea that you like:
Note 1: Brew Green Tea leaves in hot water (or bubbling water approx 90 deg C). Do not use boiling water, as it leads to a bitter cup of tea.
Note 2: Do not put the green tea leaves directly into the pan over fire. Green Tea is best brewed in a teapot, by pouring warm water over the tea leaves and steeping for a couple of minutes.
How to make a perfect cup of Green Tea
1. Heat 200 ml filtered water, to the point where it just starts to bubble, say around 85° C. Pour the hot water in a teapot. (I just love the Borosil Teapot which comes with a built in strainer for tea leaves)
2. Add one level teaspoon of Kadambri green tea. Let it brew for 2 mins. Longer brewing may result in bitterness - experiment between 1-3 minutes. You can also use a tea infuser for the tea leaves.
3. Strain the tea into the cups, if required. Add a dash of honey and lemon or add ice to make an excellent iced tea. Enjoy with friends and family.
